Happy Mistress Day to you!

February 13, 2012 in BLOGS, Kristie Hang by Kristie Hang

Just when you thought there was a Hallmark card for every occasion a new holiday comes along. Did you know that February 13th is unofficially known as “Mistress Day?” It’s supposedly the day that straying boyfriends and husbands set aside for the “other woman” because they’re spending the actual Valentine’s Day with their girlfriends and wives.

The “holiday” supposedly came about because most cheaters dedicate the day before Valentine’s to keeping their mistresses happy. I guess it makes sense because unless someone can successfully divide their Valentine’s Day successfully in half for both partners it would seem rude to not celebrate with your mistress until the day after. I mean the last thing you’d want is for them to seem unwanted and unloved right?

Funny side note: 2-13 in Mandarin sounds like “I am 3″ xiao san=3 meaning mistress. Some things are just meant to be!

Your welcome Hallmark. Here’s your next greeting card idea!
