Reasons Why You Should Submit Your Music Video to MYX

Submission Guidelines
Download a Artist Profile / Content Submission Form online (myx.tv) and fill it out. Mail 2 physical copies of the music video and any behind-the-scenes footage along with a completed submission form to:

Music Video Format Requirement   
1.    NTSC (not PAL)
2.    Standard Definition (720X480 / 720X536) or 486 NTSC pixel aspect ratio
3.    24p or 60i
4.    MiniDV / Beta Cam SP / AVI or Quicktime files on a DVD
5.    Physical copy must be labeled with 1) Song Title, 2) Artist Name, 3) Total Running Time, 4) Director’s Name, 5) if available, record label name, 6) Contact information of person submitting the video, including Name, e-mail, and phone number.

Please remember to secure your mailing with bubble wrap or foam pieces. We cannot show your music video if it’s not viewable. Once we receive your music video submission, we will send an e-mail confirmation to you. It is crucial to clearly indicate a correct e-mail address on the submission form and the music video copy.


Behind-the-Scenes Guidelines
1.    BTS Footage – A fundamental element of the BTS is footage of what happened during the music video making process (whether it’s drawing out the storyboard for the music video, applying make-up to the talents involved, shopping for a suitable camera, making of a prop, or a basic document of what happened during the shoot). This footage needs to be at least 10 minutes long. High quality digital pictures of the cast and crew of the music video, and anything related to the music video can also be included. Of course, variations of activity will make your BTS story more interesting.
2.    Editing – You don’t need to worry about editing your behind-the-scenes footage, MYX will handle all the editing of the BTS.
3.    Copyright – Once the BTS footage is submitted to MYX, the submission would be considered property of the MYX channel. (See Content Submission Form for details)
